Rectory garden in Cotham

Sustainable family garden in Bristol

This beautiful garden is part of a rectory that was built in 1789. With original 18th century flagstones and walls, it had become too dangerous and overgrown for the owners and their children to use. We re-laid the beautiful original pavers to create a patio that was safe and comfortable for walking, dining and playing. The planting was overhauled to create a bog garden, shady foliage areas, and a sunny section filled with flowers.
